Mosquito Magnet® Octenol Attractant is one of the most effective ways to increase the mosquito catch rate of your trap by up to 10x! Mosquito Magnets attract mosquitoes and other biting insects by emitting CO2. Using Octenol as a secondary attractant draws the insect to the precise location where they can enter the trap. Mosquito Magnet® Octenol attracts most mosquito species, including salt marsh mosquitoes, as well as no-see-ums and black flies. Changing your Attractant

Mosquito Magnet® Octenol Attractant should be changed every 21 days. We recommend using a scheduled reminder to change the attractant, as it maintains its appearance, but loses efficacy after 21 days. The easiest method is to change your attractant with each propane tank change.
